About? About me? About this blog?

Well, wait, getting ahead of myself!

First, WELCOME! Thank you so much for stopping by! I am seriously SO happy to have you.

Alrighty... back to "about." Why is this section so intimidating?! I have been going back and forth now for the longest of times trying to figure out the perfect combination of words and wit and humor that describes me (and this blog) perfectly.

That is what I come up with. A whole lotta nothing.

What will you find here on this blog?!  Well, you will find me. Through and through. My heart, my joy, my frustrations, my stories. I write about all sorts of things, all from the perspective of me: a 30-something Catholic gal, nurse, amateur runner, lover of the color orange, blue skies and Jesus. Oh, and coffee. That's the way to my heart.

I recently moved back to the DC area for my dream job (!) after an almost 4 year absence. What did I do while I was away? Well, I lived in Honduras for a bit. Then, I moved to Florida, where I spent time with my favorite little family, and had an overall great time. Florida was an incredibly transformative time in my life- from therapy, to building a community (both online and IRL) and making lasting friendships. It's all here on this blog. I am an open book, it seems. And for right now... I am totally ok with that.

A large chunk of my writings are about the single life through the Not Alone Series.

I would love to know about you! Please leave a comment, or shoot me an email! That way, I don't feel like I am jumping in puddles all by myself! ;)

  5. Hi Jen! I've read your blog off and on (found it through the NAS), but never commented. I just wanted to say hello and ask for some prayers. I graduated nursing school a month ago and I'm getting ready to take the NCLEX soon. I'm pretty terrified of it and if you could say some prayers for me I would really appreciate it. I look forward to reading more of your blog too!

    1. Hi Elizabeth! I am sorry for the delay in my response. :) Congrats on graduating! And I hope by this point you have passed your boards and are celebrating THAT victory. So many prayers for you as you begin you nursing career! I am actually just starting a new job where I will work primarily with new grads! Woot! So, you are definitely in my heart and prayers! Let me know if you have any questions!
