Yup... it's true I was in Honduras.

I worked with Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos as a nurse, running their external community clinic.
This was considered my day job.

As a volunteer, you are also responsible for a group of kids of the same age/maturity level by helping out with homework, chores, etc or anything else that was deemed necessary by the caregivers.  I worked in Casa Suyapa (the baby house, which has the boys and girls from babies to about 8 years of age) and worked with the boys ages 4-8. :)  This was considered my evening/every other weekend job.

It was a difficult, frustrating and exhausting experience, but, also, an amazing, grace-filled and, actually, wouldn't change a thing experience of my life so far.  I met so many amazing people- those that I worked with, helped and volunteered with.  The kids were incredible, too.  God truly blessed me throughout my time there, and I hope used me to bring others closer to Him.
